2026 Soccer Season - Registration Now Open

2026 Summer House League

The Wasaga Beach Soccer Club is here to deliver the best Recreational House League player experience that inspires a life-long passion for the game (sport) of soccer. The club is dedicated to providing the opportunity for all members of our community to participate in the sport of soccer. We encourage and promote the highest level of sportsmanship and believe that organized sport is a key component in building a strong community for our children.

Our season will begin after Victoria Day, 2026 and playing schedules are finalized in early May of each year.  Although we aim to maintain consistent playing nights year over year, final play nights and divisional set up ultimately depend on registration numbers for each age group.

This Active Start program introduces players to a small sided game, touches on the ball and participating in team development in a non-competitive environment. Games are held every Tuesday evening at Klondike Park Micro Fields. Each player will receive a soccer ball, jersey, shorts and socks. Players will receive an award at the season-ending picnic to be held at Klondike Park on the last session of the season.

Mini Program “Fundamentals” (2019/20)

The Mini program for children U6 to U7 is a 12 week long development program that promotes teamwork in a non-competitive environment. Our 6 & 7 year-olds will begin to develop their skills as they are introduced to the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) program with the guidance of our coaches. The 6-7 year-olds begin to play a 5 v 5 game on a full mini field. The program will be held at Klondike Park. Each participant will receive a jersey, shorts and socks. Players will receive an award at the picnic held at Klondike Park on the last session.

Youth Program “Soccer for Life” (2013-2018)

Players aged 8-10 will be involved in a program called “Learning to train.” It’s a program that promotes teamwork in a non-competitive environment. Soccer related movements and technical skills will be demonstrated to players.  These skills are developed in training and within the context of the soccer game. Players aged 8 will be playing 5 v 5. Players U9-10 will play 7 v 7 games on a minor field. Players aged 11 & 12 will begin playing 9 v 9 on a minor field. Each participant will receive a uniform, shorts and socks. DEVELOPMENT AND COMPETITIVE TEAMS

2026 Development & Competitive

Our Development and Competitive teams require a greater commitment than the Recreational league. Development and Competitive teams have off-season training which runs from the fall right through until the playing season begins in the spring. There will be a minimum of one training night and one game night each week through the regular season (May through August). Generally half of regular season games are played at Klondike Sports Park (our home field) and remaining games will require travel to our opponents' fields.

LTPD – Long Term Player Development

Long Term Player Development (LTPD) is a scientific model for athlete training and development that respects and utilizes the natural stages of physical, mental, and emotional growth in athletes. The Wasaga Beach Soccer Club has embraced LRPD as the backbone of the Club and has incorporated this model in the Club programming and decision-making.

Note: Although some rosters are set, we are currently adding players to our U13 Boys Competitive Team.  If Interested, reach out to our Development Coordinator in the "About Us" page.

Development & Competitive Player Program

In September of each year, WBSC holds tryouts for our Development and Competitive teams.   The selected players form the foundation of our respective team for the full year and our club starts training immediately  with 1 - 2 sessions per week.  Training occurs at Klondike until the fields become unavailable, then shifts indoors for the duration of the winter.   Player and Parent commitment is greater for these team and it is expected players attend all practices.

A select number of teams (U12B/G)  participate in the York Region Indoor league from November - April to further their development and preparation for the outside season.
