Presidents Message

Greetings to all parents and players of the Wasaga Beach Soccer Club. It's time to think soccer already! The Wasaga Beach Soccer Club, is run exclusively by volunteers, from the Board of Directors, to the coaching staff. It is this volunteer base that makes our club successful. Thank you to all who committed themselves to make this year's soccer season another successful one!
Our club, accepts players from ages 4 to 21 years. All players age 10 and under are in house, and play at Klondike Park. Players 13 to 21 years, travel within Simcoe County, and are members of the Simcoe County Youth Soccer League
Only our U 4-U8 divisions are mixed.
This season, due to changes in Simcoe County Soccer League, players 11 and 12 may be playing in house this season. Unfortunately, we will not know whether they will be playing in house or travelling until April 2012, as it will be dependent on whether Simcoe County can offer a viable division for these age groups. It is our intention that regardless of travelling or not, we will continue to offer boys and girls teams, as opposed to mixed teams.
This season, we are proud to announce that several players from our Club, have been invited to compete in an International Tournament in Agopoli Italy. The Wasaga Canadians U16G will be leaving March 30 returning April 9,2012.
The Wasaga Canadians are in the process of fundraising. Please support their efforts and be a proud sponsor of the Wasaga Canadians!
Soccer is the fastest growing sport in Canada, and the Wasaga Beach Soccer Club had the largest membership currently of any non-profit sports organizations in Wasaga Beach. In our 2011 season, we had just under 700 registered players. Our coaches are offered free training programs in obtaining certification in levels 1-3.
The mission of our club, is to introduce players to the sport of soccer. During the season, we offer specialized training clinics for players, concentrating on skill development, and position specific training. Our sponsors assist our club with their generous donations. Parents, if possible, take some time to thank your child's sponsor and patronize their businesses.
Don't forget our Soccer Hot Line at 429-5551, if you have any concerns, suggestions or questions. Without your input we cannot implement any changes that might benefit the club. On behalf of our Executive, I Thank You to all parents, players and coaches who will be volunteering to make 2012 another successful season for the Wasaga Soccer Club. It is a great opportunity to enjoy soccer, learn skills, develop friendships and most importantly to have fun!
Yours in Soccer,
Lou-Anne Pardon
